Listen to the sound of your own voice

“People get angry when they read what I write. They get disappointed and think I can’t let go of the past. Names get thrown out and I am called words that hurt, and I don’t like it. But what can I do? What can I say to convince them otherwise? They are telling me how to feel, even when I don’t feel that way anymore.”

“You let them assume. At the end of the day you should go to bed knowing that the only ones who really couldn’t let it go, are the ones who couldn’t be bothered to find the truth from you and deserved no time or emotions out of you. So let them think of what you are to them. Let them judge you from the outside, and let them say nasty things about you until they are tired of a movie that has no beginning. Opinions only matter if they matter. So, do they matter?”

“I’m just really tired of cleaning up this mess.”

“Never a mess, always a lesson. You are who you are, you feel what you feel. And no one should ever apologize for feeling.

Never.”
